Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold Coke or cola of your choice
  • 4 tablespoons toasted marshmallow syrup I love using Torani or Monin for that authentic campfire taste.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup Drizzle it slowly for the best look!
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk This is my secret for that rich, "melted ice cream" texture.
  • 2 handfuls Ice Enough to fill your glasses about three-quarters full.

Equipment

  • 2 16 oz stemless glass tumblers Wide-rimmed glasses help you see those beautiful chocolate swirls.
  • 1 8 oz glass liquid measuring cup The pour spout makes layering the cream so much easier!
  • 1 12-inch stainless steel twisted bar spoon Perfect for a gentle stir that doesn't kill the fizz.
  • 1 Small ceramic mixing bowl For whisking your sweet cream to glossy perfection.

Method

  1. In your small ceramic mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. You’re looking for a glossy, slightly thickened texture, it usually takes about 30 seconds of love! This reminds me of the "cloud cream" my grandmother used to put on berries.
  2. Fill your stemless glass tumblers about three-quarters full with ice. Using plenty of ice is key here; it keeps the soda crisp and stops the cream from warming up too quickly.
  3. Slowly pour 1 cup of cold cola into each glass. I always angle the glass slightly, just like pouring a fancy root beer float, to keep all those happy bubbles inside!
  4. Add the toasted marshmallow syrup to each glass. It’s like magic watching it sink through the ice, it naturally starts to sweeten the soda from the bottom up.
  5. Drizzle the chocolate syrup along the inner edge of the glass. Letting it streak down the sides makes the drink look like a professional soda shop creation with almost zero effort.
  6. Here is my favorite pro tip: pour the sweet cream mixture slowly over the back of your bar spoon held just above the soda. This helps it float right on top like a soft summer cloud instead of sinking.
  7. Give it a very gentle stir with your bar spoon to pull those chocolate and marshmallow flavors together. Pop in a straw and take a sip, it’s a camping trip in a glass!

Notes

Make it Dairy-Free: You can swap the heavy cream for coconut cream and use a dairy-free sweetened condensed coconut milk, it’s just as dreamy!
Prep Tip: You can mix the sweet cream topping up to 24 hours in advance and keep it in the fridge, but always pour your soda fresh so you don't lose the fizz.
Storage: This drink is an "immediate enjoy" kind of recipe. Carbonation fades fast once the cream is added, so drink up while it’s bubbly!
