Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese 4% milkfat , small curd preferred
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder Dutch-processed for smoother flavor
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional but adds depth
  • 1 pinch salt enhances chocolate flavor
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds optional for added thickness and omega-3s
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder optional for extra protein
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk optional , adjust texture if needed

Equipment

  • 1 Blender or food processor
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • Serving glasses or bowls

Method

  1. Add the cottage cheese to your blender or food processor to get it started.
  2. Toss in the cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and any optional add-ins like chia seeds or protein powder.
  3. Blend everything until it becomes beautifully smooth and silky, scraping down the sides with a spatula if needed. Splash in a little milk if it's too thick.
  4. Give it a quick taste test and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  5. Divide the mixture into serving glasses or bowls and pop them in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes to set.
  6. Serve cold and enjoy your healthy, decadent treat!
