- Grab your cutting board and pit and halve your fresh cherries to get them ready for the sweet infusion.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in your saucepan, then remove it from the heat and drop in the black tea bags. Let them steep to build a rich flavor base.
- In another small saucepan, combine your prepared cherries with the remaining 2 cups of water and your choice of sweetener. Simmer gently until the cherries soften and release all their vibrant juices.
- Pour the cherry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer straight into your tea base, pressing lightly on the solids to catch every bit of flavor. Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
- Transfer your beautiful blend into a glass pitcher and chill it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Serve cold over plenty of ice, garnished with extra cherries and lemon slices.
